Peace of mind
At Barnt Green Dental Centre we ensure regular check-ups take place, including screening of the whole mouth and jaw, checking for any early sign of diseases such as oral cancer and periodontal (gum) disease.
We recognise that some patients feel apprehensive so we seek to make everyone feel at ease, with a calm approach and full explanation of treatment. This is particularly important for children, and our staff strive to make them feel comfortable and happy. Our Super Teeth Heroes ensure that our youngest patients have a fun and rewarding time here.
For very nervous patients, further help is available, including intravenous sedation if required. You can be sure that with us you are in the safest of hands.

Our staff
All our staff are highly trained and share our ethos of excellence of service and patient satisfaction. They further enhance their skills by attending ongoing training in areas such as radiography.
Ian Osborn BDS Hons (U.Birm 1975) GDC No: 49291
Ian is the director of Barnt Green Dental Centre. He joined the practice in 2001 and became principal in 2004. After qualification he studied oral and maxillofacial surgery and medicine before returning to general dental practice in Bromsgrove in the early 1980's. Ian has a particular interest in crown and bridge work and in cosmetic dentistry. He has completed a number of postgraduate
courses in advanced dental restorative techniques and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr Thomas Faber GDC No: 105098
Thomas joined Barnt Green Dental Centre in April 2007, bringing a strong reputation from his native Germany and he quickly prove to be a most valuable member of the team. He has extensive postgraduate experience in all areas of dentistry. He is particularly highly qualified and
experienced (over 20 years) in dental implantology and associated oral surgery.
Angie Osborn – Practice Manager
Angie became Practice Manager in September 2004. She qualified as a Chartered Company Secretary in 1985, becoming a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in 1992. In that period she held a number of company secretarial and general management positions in several large companies. In 1993 she had a change of career, becoming Business Director
for a large West Midlands independent school, a post she held until 1999.
She has also run her own marketing communications consultancy.
Jayne Hughes – Practice Administrator
Jayne joined Barnt Green Dental Centre in early 2002 as Receptionist. She qualified as a dental nurse in 1977 and went on to gain a Diploma in Dental Health Education and a certificate in Dental Practice Management. Prior to joining Barnt Green Dental Centre she was Practice Manager at a very large NHS practice. She was a founder member of the British Dental Practice Managers Association
and is a past Chairman.
Jodie Williams – Senior Dental Nurse GDC No: 163040
Jodie joined the practice in September 2004 as a trainee and qualified as a dental nurse in 2006. Her postgraduate courses include Promotion of Oral Health in 2007 and Dental Radiography in 2009.
Lisa Rock – Dental Nurse GDC No: 191364
Before joining the practice in April 2008 as a trainee Lisa worked as a beauty and holistic therapist. She qualified as a dental nurse in 2009 and is preparing for her postgraduate courses.
