GDP Referrals for Implants

We welcome referrals from general dental practitoners of patients asking advice on dental implants and their placements.

Due to the complexity and nature of Implant Treatments it is not possible to list the fees as all treatment plans are individually tailored to meet patient requirements. Barnt Green Dental Centre offers a free consultation with Dr Thomas Faber and a personalised treatment plan to anyone considering dental implants - a consultation fee will only be payable once implant treatment commences.

For further information and a brief outline on basic fees please visit our suppliers Implantium.

Please use our online Referral Form.

A Case Study of the Implant Procedure

In this photo the arrow marks an inflammed area at the cervical margin of the gingiva around the  1 |  (upper right central incisor).  The inflammation is caused by a vertical hairline fracture in the previously root filled tooth.

Subsequently the tooth was extracted, a 'socket preservation procedure' was carried out and a temporary bridge was fitted.  The photo shows the result after 6 months.
Angie Osborn
This photo shows the situation with the temporary bridge removed.  The base of the pontic was used to 'mould' the tissue during the healing process after the extraction and socket preservation.
Jodie Williams
The xray shows the healed socket with regenerated bone and good bone levels.
Lisa Rock
This xray was taken 3 months into the healing period.  Please note the perfect bone levels around the implant shoulders.

Finished restorations.  Single crowns on  2 1 | 1 2  (upper central & lateral incisors) and direct veneers on  3 | 3  (upper canines)

Before & After

This photo shows the patient before and after treatment.  Please note how healthier the gums look after treatment and how well the gum levels at the implant site have been preserved.

The shape of the teeth matches the patients appearence much better than the rather rounded previous crowns.
